So, you made a joke in one post, on a page in the archives. What /is/ the rating of this comic anyway? XD Not that I care one way or another, just curious.
If I had to pick, I’d say its something like PG-13. However; I think of it less as a content restriction, and more of a tone that I attempt to achieve. The horror inspired environment and nature of some of the themes can make things a little dark at times, but fundamentally I try to maintain a light-hearted adventure story with Transyltown. I remember having a really difficult time designing Mammon’s final form. Trying to find that right balance of creepy for the Transyltown tone was down right difficult for her.
Ahhh. I see. Well, you do a good job at the balance, no matter how difficult it may seem on a writer’s perspective. I’ve noticed a bit of different manga-styles slipped in. Like, when I look at the Timberlands, I get a real O-Parts Hunter Vibe. Which isn’t a bad thing, I liked that style, and I like your style. 😛
Say, how much do you charge for commissions? XD
Seishi Kishimoto’s (O-Parts Hunter/666 Satan) twin brother Masashi (Naruto) is one of my most inspiring influences, but of course O-Parts Hunter was also really fun. I really liked seeing their styles diverge. When both of those manga started their art was as identical as they are.
As far as commissions go it depends on a few factors. Shoot me an e-mail at brucesmall@brasscomics.com , and I’ll send you details.
