Transyltown 72
Man…I’m seriously floored by every episode of Avatar: Legend of Korra! If you haven’t watched this amazing series yet, I totally suggest it!

Hey Bruce, jw, Did you make the website, or is it hosted by someone, like a site they lets you publish youre web comics on? Im looking into making a short series, maybe not as frequent as yours but close, any tips on getting started or what supplies to make the pages you draw easily transfer to the computer or do you draw on the computer? Sorry for all the questions but i love your comic. btw, I met you at comicpalooza, i wrote the comic. So yah, thanks for doing what you do.
Thanks for the support! We are hosting on our own site here. If you’re just trying to test the waters I suggest you try hosting on a site like DrunkDuck, but if youre going for the long run then try to get your own hosting. We’re using Dreamhost, its a good deal, but you should look around to find whats good for you.
Before I started working on Transyltown I was penciling and inking by hand and doing tones and lettering in Photoshop, but cleaning up a lot of page debris from the poor scanner I had at the time was a pain, so I switched to working all digital. It helped speed things up for me too.
If you want to stick with traditional art I found that using sumi ink produced a good quality black. And you should avoid most low end technical pens like Microns as the produce a splotchy black. Since you went to Comicpalooza I assume you’re a Houston local. If so hit up Texas Art Supply, They’ve got some good quality comic boards and cheap bristol. I work there during the weekend and most week days so I can even help you pick some things out!
Good luck, and don’t be shy about putting up a link here once you’ve got you’re webcomic up!
Thanks tons and ill make sure to put a link.
